For the uninitiated, the classic "hen's foot" design (from the French pied de poule ), before inspiring the bourgeois classes of the 1800s, was originally worn by Scottish shepherds as a "coat" for the winter season; a dense weave worked with 4 intertwined threads of wool that precisely created this almost psychedelic optical vision.
Around 1900 the wealthy classes began to appropriate this design to mark a new style also in furnishings and from there a real unstoppable fashion broke out.
The most elegant combination has always been black and white even in the 60s, a symbol of elegance and refinement in both clothing and furnishings.
Over time, however, this conjecture has evolved and the various industries have begun to produce fabrics with various color combinations and compositions of fabrics and yarns.
